This blog is intended to share my passion for theatre with the masses as well as a place for musical theatre geeks from all over the globe to share their passion for the stage. First, A little background on myself.
My first exposure to live theatre started a little late in life; through a Theatre Appreciation class in college, to be precise. My teacher spoke about theatre in a way I'd never heard before. He approached each and every aspect of theatre with excitement and respect, which stirred a part of me that I'd never known before. I always have had a slight interest in theatre, but never had seen someone so passionate about it.
Flash forward to April 2012, my roommate at the time had season tickets to the Walton Arts Center's Broadway season and I was able to tag along for their production of Mary Poppins, which ignited a new passion for me that turned into a slight obsession.
Since then, I have seen close to 10 live professional productions (and countless others through various media), as well as had the opportunity to participate in 2 regional productions. To say that musical theatre has changed me forever is a slight understatement.
I hope to post at least once a week about the productions I've seen and been a part of, upcoming and current changes to the broadway lineup, tours and community productions, and movie adaptions of theatre productions.
